Facultees
"Facultees" began last year when some of my friends gave me the idea to create T-Shirts for faculty members. I figured I have nothing to lose - except a little time to put into it. After a few weeks of brainstorming, and talking to a few graphic designers, we finally came to the perfect conclusion. A shirt that would have a silhouette of the teacher and a clever saying regarding them.
Dr. Saxon
The first in the series is the "Dr. Saxon" shirt. Dr. Saxon is a prof at Maranatha that everybody highly respects and has a lot of wisdom. In fact, he is probably one of the smartest guys I have ever met. After collecting orders and money, I realiezed I had sold over 75 of these in the first two weeks. It was amazing - I had no clue that they would be this popular. Once I recognized their potential and popularity, I decided to embark upon a second idea. In the meantime, I had a couple other shirt orders to make for the Camping Society and Madrigal. By the time winter 2006 rolled around, I knew there wouldn't be enough time to pull out another shirt before Christmas Break. The Radford Era
January '06 came fast and the ideas were flowing again. This time, it would a T-shirt in memory of Dr. Radford - one of my favorite profs at college. He was loved by all. I created a blog to show support and also as a place to upload favorite memories and stories of the "Radford Era". Several people responded, and I used the majority of the quotes from the blog for the backside of the shirt. This time when I went to collect orders, I had twice as many people sign up - 150 tees. I was pretty excited. Within a few weeks, the shirts were being worn by college kids all over campus, and they loved it.

Special thanks to: Karen Bramblet, graphic designer who aided me greatly in developing the shirts and silhouettes
SPECIAL FACULTEE:
During the month of March, Madrigal was taking it's last tour with Dr. Budahl. We dubbed it "Dr. Budah's Farewell Tour" and decided it was worthy of a shirt. Each Madrigal member ordered a shirt, and they arrived while we were on the tour, somewhere in Pennsylvania. Steve Mann presented Dr. & Mrs. Budahl each with a "Farewell Tour" shirt. They loved them. Dr. Budahl came up to a few of us involved with making it happen and said, "Quite clever ones you are." He was a legend. On the back of the shirt had a map of the east coast with the tour itinerary.
Stay tuned for the next round of Facultees.
